Whisky Wednesday Reviews Glencadam 10YO – Scotch Whisky News
Glencadam 10YO
Glencadam is a tiny, quaint and overlooked distillery that just doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Not an easy thing to state in whisky these days.
Producing around 1,300,000 litres of whisky per year, and maturing them in a wide selection of cask types, it is a gentle and almost ‘lowland’ like style of single malt whisky.
In the ownership of Angus Dundee Distillers, I’d like to use this video to bring some very needed and apt attention to this whisky distillery. The 10YO that I’m reviewing is a bourbon cask matured whisky that is scented with pineapple, whipped cream and some delicious melon notes throughout it.

Whisky Wednesday Reviews Edradour 10YO – Scotch Whisky News
Edradour 10YO
First mentioned as a name in 1837, but founded in 1825 as Glenforres distillery by local farmers, Edradour, for years, was the smallest distillery in Scotland for most of its modern life.
Bought in 1982 by Pernod Ricard and releasing their first single malt in 1986, the distillery is now owned by Andrew Symington, owner of Signatory Vintages. He purchased the distillery in 2002 and released all of the fun stuff from the warehouses. In 2018 a new distillery was commissioned and doubled the distilleries capacity, losing it’s smallest distillery moniker, but bringing the distillery into a new light and a bigger future.
The 10YO is a heavily sherried and rather complex prodcut for being bottled at 40% ABV. A distillery that had some unusual bias against, but luckily, good whisky can shine through any predisposition.
