Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 246: The Celts 22 Year Old 1996 for MMM – Scotch Whisky News
Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 246: The Celts 22 Year Old 1996 for MMM
Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky blogger, releases another single cask whisky for MMM – Mark & Manny’s Malts. For their second single cask release in the Tribe Series, they designed another great label: the fierce Celts. It is again a secret Speyside scotch, from a distillery that was founded in 1892 in the valley of the deer, literally a stone’s throw away from the famous distillery that produced their Picts. Nuff said! It matured on a bourbon cask for 22 long years. ‘And it is simply marvelous, thank you very much,’ Mark adds.

Whisky Wednesday Reviews GlenDronach 15yo – Scotch Whisky News
Feel like I’ve said this a lot already this year, but, hopefully for the final time…IT’S BACK! Now, i know my review of this is slightly delayed (by five months) – but it’s not a limited release and is now a regular feature, so i didn’t feel the need to rush the review. Also, I’ve tried the older one again for referencing and the differences are quite vast. Something else I’ve also said a lot this year…Rachel Barrie is god. Cheers!

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 245: Talisker Neist Point – Scotch Whisky News
Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 245: Talisker Neist Point
Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky blogger, tries another Talisker. Neist Point is the most westerly point on the Duirinish peninsula on the Isle of Skye. Since 1909 the lighthouse is a popular destination for hikers. It comes as no surprise that Talisker named one of their releases after this viewpoint. Originally it was a travel retail exclusive, but now you can find in stores or at the distillery. It is a mighty fine Talisker!
Whisky Wednesday Reviews Redbreast 15yo – Irish Whiskey News
Pot still whiskies are awesome and for a lot of people, they’re an untapped resource for Irish whisky. Produced by Midleton across a variety of ages and cask styles, Redbreast is THE definitive Pot Still whisky style and I’ll fight anyone who wants to argue it! The 21 is unbelievable, but, in terms of value, this 15 wins it for me every time. Fruity, bold, spicy and as full of charisma as the lads and ladies who make it are. I really love this product and i can’t sing it’s praises enough. Cheers!

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 244: Talisker 8 Year Old Diageo Special Release 2018 – Scotch Whisky News
Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 244: Talisker 8 Year Old Diageo Special Release 2018
Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky blogger, tries yet another Talisker. In the Special Releases 2018 by Diageo, there was a brand new Talisker at cask strength with an age statement to boot: 8 years old. This young malt, matured on first fill bourbon casks, sold out pretty quickly despite the hefty price of 85 EUR (hefty for an 8 years old malt, anyway). But as it turns out… it is a belter of a Talisker!
