Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 370: Craigellachie 12 Year Old 1971 Gordon & Macphail – Scotch Whisky News

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 370: Craigellachie 12 Year Old 1971 Gordon & Macphail

Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky vlogger, tries a golden oldie. The oldest bottler in Scotland is Gordon & Macphail. They celebrate 125 years in 2020. The Connoisseurs Choice is one of their oldest and most popular ranges that has undergone quite some changes in looks over the years. Mark is trying an older one today: a 12 years old Craigellachie from 1971, bottled early 1980s. The label still proclaims White Horse Distillers as proprietors. Peter Mackie was one of the founders after all. This bottle is totally gone nowadays, though.

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 369: Glengoyne 13 Year Old 2005 Hart Brothers

Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky blogger, got an open bottle of this sherry matured Glengoyne from his buddy Manny. There is still more than a quarter of the contents in there. Perhaps he did not like it much? This single cask was bottled by the Hart Brothers exclusively for the lovers of malt in Switzerland.

Whisky Wednesday Reviews High West Campfire – Whisky News

A combination of bourbon, rye and a blended malt whisky. It is literally everything that I want.

High West Campfire has been something unique for such a long time now. The combination of these flavours and the final result produces all the flavour range you could want as a whisky drinker. Something that I recommend you all try:

  1. Because it’s delicious.
  2. Blending is an art.
  3. If you don’t believe B, you’re wrong.

Cheers!
