Whisky Wednesday Reviews Daftmill 2006 W Club Single Cask – Scotch Whisky News

I never thought I’d have the luck to try, let alone give samples of this stuff away, but here we are. Daftmill. This single cask exclusive for The W Club was gifted to me by the company I work for, quite the surprise in the post! A 2006 vintage, ex-Heaven Hill cask at cask strength! Thank you very much for that! Teeming with classic Lowland flavour but also pushing through with its unbridled power, this single cask is something quite special.
The Important Bit – We’ve also hit 8,000 subscribers as this video launches and it’s been a privilege to interact with you all and share views on these amazing liquids. To thank you, or at least some of you. I’m giving away the rest of this bottle in sample form. All you have to do is message me on Instagram (pdwyer92) or leave a YouTube comment about why you got into whisky and how you found the channel.
Shipping to the US and Canada is going to be very difficult, unfortunately this rules alot of my cross-Atlantic friends. Good luck with the giveaway and again, thanks to all of you! Cheers.

Whisky Wednesday Reviews GlenAllachie 15yo – Scotch Whisky News

You asked, we did. Glenallachie 15.
Festooned with Virgin Oak, Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez sherry, at 46%, natural colour and non-chill filtered. Well, what else do you say? Billy Walker. Speyside. Loads of sherry.
However, with the interplay between the three cask types, typical notes of ‘Christmas cake’ and ‘rasins’ are put to one side for thick butterscotch and toffee. Sweet tobacco and dark chocolate carrying a bitter and pleasant contrast to that lusciously indulgent nose. Wonderful!

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 351: Ardnamurchan AD 09.20:01 Inaugural Release
Mark Dermul, Belgian whisky blogger, tries the first release of a new distillery, always something to look forward to. In this case, Ardnamurchan actually waited until their whisky was five years old. This is a vatting of 53 casks: 65% former bourbon casks and 35% sherry casks, both oloroso and PX.
