Introducing The Bothy from Cask 88 – Scotch Whisky News

This highly limited release presents an exquisite single cask expression from the lost Imperial Distillery, distilled in 1998 right before the distillery closed its doors for good. While seeking solace in a single cask for 25 years, this well-rounded liquid has notes of heather honey, pear tart, orchard fruits, vanilla and toffee with a dose of earthiness. With only 200 bottles ever produced, each with its own unique design, these truly are a collector’s item. A lottery for which one you’ll receive adds to the personality that will sit upon your shelf.

Lindores Abbey Charity Competition – Scotch Whisky News

SIGNED LINDORES ABBEY DISTILLERY TRIO PLUS GLASSES & PIPETTE CHARITY COMPETITION

(ALL PROCEEDS DONATED TO CHARITY)

The Collectors Club is a brand new whisky based competition website launched this year by Scott & John Lang. They are two friends who share a serious passion for our aqua vitae and want to make all kinds of new, old & rare whisky accessible to everyone & anyone, for the price of just a single dram!

The Collectors Club are proud to be asked to help a friend of the Club, Richard Cameron. Richard is trying to raise money for 5 specific charities who have helped his son Mackenzie battle a rare autoimmune condition (the same condition that sadly led to the loss of his Daughter at just age 7). Mackenzie has fought against the odds to live life to the full. He has dealt with many challenges that adults would never cope with. In January 2021 Mackenzie contracted COVID. He was in intensive care and on a ventilator for 7 weeks. He suffered 2 cardiac arrests and 2 respiratory arrests. He fought very hard and managed to stay with us. As part of his recovery he had to learn how to walk again. He was supported along the way by Richards local community and raised over £2500 for charity, something which we think is nothing short of remarkable! He also won Young Achiever Award 2021 in the Scottish Health Awards.

Thanks to Lindores Abbey Distillery, who have been extremely generous to donate a fantastic 3 bottle plus extras prize for the lucky winner, we are honoured to be the hosting platform for raising the funds, but we can only do it with your donations! Tickets for this competition are just 99p and there are 999 up for grabs.

If you would like to donate what you can to Richard’s cause, click the link to go to www.thecollectorsclubcompetitions.com . You will find the Lindores Abbey competition on the home page, alongside all of our other current competitions for all different types of whisky. Each competition has a time limit and they will display in ascending order. Every single penny of the Lindores Abbey competition will go to CHAS, one of Richard’s chosen charities. Hopefully with your support we can raise the maximum amount possible! The entries for this competition will close on December 21st at 8PM and you can watch us draw it (plus other competitions) live on our facebook page from 7PM.

All the best, and good luck!
