Release 01 from the Whisky Club has been bottled and we will be sending it out to members next week. We have been delighted with the response we’ve received and can’t wait to hear what members think of the Tequila Cask finish when they receive it. This exceptional Single Malt Whisky displays the robust, smoky character of the famous 10 Year Old, but with added complexity from extended maturation in ex-bourbon barrels. The vanilla note apparent at 10 years becomes amplified, complimented by the sweetness of ripe fruits and honey, alongside toasted oak spice, and abundant peat smoke. Laphroaig 18 Year Old is bottled at a high strength of 48% for greater intensity and a satisfyingly rich mouthfeel.

NOSE
Sweet, vanilla and soft toffee with soft gooseberry, Bramley apple and a touch of cinnamon and freshly baked apple tart.
TASTE
Oily, sweet and full bodied with an upfront fruitiness of oranges and nectarines followed by herbal notes of freshly cut mint and heathery honey with subtle ginger spice and peaty notes of iodine.
FINISH
Sweet and rich with a long savoury and smoky finish.
Ardbeg 15 Year Old Palo Cortado, TyndrumWhisky Exclusive
The first Ardbeg Single Malt Whisky release from Murray McDavid for 13 years! This boisterous spirit, specially selected by the team here at TyndrumWhisky.com, was initially filled in to a traditional FIRST FILL Sherry butt where it matured for nearly 15 years. The precious Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Islay was then re-racked into a range of small Octave casks, this was finished for 8 months in a Palo Cortado Sherry Octave to tame the untameable. Only 98 bottles of this exquisite dram have been produced.

Springbank 1964 Adelphi 32 Year Old
A marvellous 32-year-old single malt. Hailing from Campbeltown’s Springbank Distillery, this expression was released by independent bottlers, Adelphi. Bottled at 50.8% abv, this is a simply breath-taking dram.
Expect smooth aromas of bramble, wood polish, and red berries on the nose. The palate is rich and brings toasted oak alongside pleasant jammy notes before leading into the thick, lingering, and drying finish.

While any distillery putting forth an honest effort will select interesting and hopefuly tasty casks for their single barrel program, it is a rare cask indeed that could be described as “flawless.” But this 11 year old is just that – a perfect PX cask. Robust enough to impact an incredibl amount of character, but perfeclty matched to the spirit so as to not overshadow it, but rather to complement it beautifully. Distilled March 1st 2011 and bottled in 2022, cask 4778 is for sherry lovers who want big and rich flavors but like to remember they’re drinking single malt and not actually sherry.

Society Release
We would like to thank you for your patience while we prepare the next society release. We have had to delay the society bottling while we try to bottle and ship our regular releases before the current Brexit deadline to ensure our markets have sufficient stock in time for the busy festive period. We are however using this time to work on a new online platform for members where you will be able to order future society bottles. This is part of a program of planned initiatives to give our dedicated members the best possible experience from the society. The next bottling will be available in November.
Longrow 21
History in the making! We are introducing a new member to the Longrow family, the Longrow 21yo. A historic moment for the distillery and Longrow as we continue to grow older stocks of whisky, allowing us to expand our range. This will be available to purchase from Friday 18th October and will be available in all our existing markets worldwide, although availability in each market will vary due to shipping schedules. The Campbeltown Cadenhead’s shop will be selling this bottle for £185.00 and, as with our Springbank 21yo, there will be a £10.00 discount for Society members.
