Whisky Wednesday Reviews Tamdhu 18YO, 46.% – Scotch Whisky News

Welcome to a series on Tamdhu!

Tamdhu 18YO, 46.%

https://youtu.be/EHko4b35-bM

Part 3 is all about Tamdhu 18YO, and it’s broader, and sometimes more savoury sherried style

Matured solely in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46.8% ABV – this bottle is my favourite of the three I’ve tried, but when price comes into the equation, it doesn’t do badly, but it could easily be better regarding its pricing.

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 496: Nc’nean Aon 17-170 for Belgium – Scotch Whisky News

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 496: Nc’nean Aon 17-170 for Belgium

Mark Dermul, Belgian whiskyblogger, tries a single cask of Nc’nean. Mark has been a fan of Nc’nean since the very beginning, that’s a public secret. He was therefore very pleasantly surprised when Premium Spirits – the Belgian importer – invited him to a press dinner on 1 March of this year. In fact, he had the pleasure of sitting at the table next to the Leading Lady of Nc’nean and had a very pleasant and interesting chat with Annabel Thomas all evening long. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a single ex-bourbon cask that was specially selected for the Netherlands and Belgium.

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 495: Nc’nean Huntress 2023 Woodland Candy – Scotch Whisky News

Mark’s Whisky Ramblings 495: Nc’nean Huntress 2023 Woodland Candy

Mark Dermul, Belgian whiskyblogger, tries a very summery whisky. Nc’nean has just released their new ‘summer whisky’ Huntress and this time they aptly named it ‘Woodland Candy’. It is created with no less than 4 different yeasts, including those used for the production or red and white wine, which results in a malt with lots of red fruit. Mark is a fan!

Whisky Wednesday Reviews Tamdhu 15YO – Scotch Whisky News

https://youtu.be/QfLtGxNuBtg

Welcome to a series on Tamdhu!

Part 2 is all about Tamdhu 15YO, and it’s bigger, and richer nature, pushing whisky drinkers who are looking for a sherry alternative.

Matured solely in ex-sherry casks and bottled at 46% ABV – this bottle is striking to look at, very rich to drink, but a little flat when it comes to the texture and feel of the liquid.

Overall, a whisky to certainly put your eyes on if you’re wanting something that you haven’t seen or tried before.
