JDPL is a leading Indian spirits company, in which Sazerac Company, the largest family-owned distilled spirits company in the United States, is an active stakeholder.

Mithuna by Paul John scored a 97 and has also been awarded Asian Whisky of the Year 2021, while its predecessor in the Zodiac series, Kanya by Paul John, was named Asian Whisky of the Year in the 2018 edition of “Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible” with a score of 96.

In describing Mithuna for his 2021 Whisky Bible, Murray says, “If Mithuna means “Ultimate,” then it is the perfect name. Or maybe Mithuna means “Perfect,” then it is pretty close. It is that very rarest of things. And, if nothing else, announces Paul John Distillery on the world stage of truly great distilleries. This is a whisky to devour…while it devours you.”

“For our whisky to be declared the world’s 3rd finest whisky in the world is perhaps the greatest achievement a whisky maker could possibly dream of and this speaks especially of the passion and dedication of our Master Distiller, Michael D’Souza. For an Indian whisky to attain such an honour has proven that India is on par and even better in terms of quality with other international whiskies. It marks a turning point in the emergence of India as a serious player in the world of single malt. We are humbled and honoured to have received this award and we will continue to dedicate our efforts to further improve our quality to the highest possible standards,” said Paul P John, Chairman and Managing Director, JDPL.

Murray tastes more than 4,700 whiskies for his yearly edition, and in Murray’s ranking system, any whisky which scores in the 94-97.5 range is deemed by him as “superstar whiskies that give us all a reason to live.”

Jim Murray is a legend and leading player on the world’s whisky stage. It is now over 25 years since he became the world’s first-ever full-time whisky writer. The 2021 edition of his Whisky Bible marks the 18th year of annual publication. “Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2021” can be pre-ordered at http://whiskybible.com/

Mithuna by Paul John

Mithuna by Paul John, of the Paul John Zodiac series, is named after the Indian counterpart of the zodiac sign Gemini.

Sophisticated aromas of liquorice with gentle beeswax lead to a luxuriant delivery of ulmo honey on crisp toast, and tender notes of vanilla. Chewy flavours of coffee mocha, orange peel and delicate spice float on active tannins while gentle oils enjoy a gist of dark cocoa tones. The finish is gratifyingly long and complex with multi-toned sugars and delicate honeys.

Renowned for contradictive strengths, the characteristics of Gemini are epitomized by this Indian single malt as mesmerizing layers of austere, dry tannins are challenged in equal measure by resplendent sugars and mocha on delicate oils.

Big, beautiful, and always measured for balance.

Two Whiskeys from Sazerac Company Receive Top Spots

in World Whiskey Awards

Second Year in a Row Sazerac Brands Receive Highest Honor

LOUISVILLE, Ky (Sept. 16, 2020) Two whiskeys produced by the Sazerac Company, Stagg Jr. (128.4 proof) and Paul John Mithuna, have been named the second and third finest whiskeys in the world, respectively, by esteemed whisky reviewer Jim Murray in his “Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible 2021.” In total, nine whiskeys from Sazerac received top honors in their category, including eight produced at its Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Ky.

These awards follow a momentous win last year in which three whiskeys from Sazerac were named the top three whiskeys in the world in “Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible 2020,” the first time any one company has accomplished this feat.

The 2021 second finest whiskey in the world, Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Stagg Jr., was first introduced in 2013 and has won countless double gold, gold and various other accolades, but has never placed in the top three in the prestigious “Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible.”  Its forefather however, George T. Stagg, is well known to Whiskey Bible fans, having been named the finest or second finest whiskey in the world a staggering four times since the Whiskey Bible started in 2004, holding the top spot more times than any other spirit in the world.

In describing the Stagg Jr. second finest whiskey in the world, and bourbon of the year for 2021, Jim Murray scored it a 97.5 and called it “Spectacularly mind-blowing!”  Murray tastes more than 4,700 whiskies for his yearly edition, and in Murray’s ranking system, any whiskey which scores in the 94-97.5 range is deemed by him as “superstar whiskies that give us all a reason to live.”

Sazerac’s third finest whiskey of the world comes from India, at its Paul John Distillery and is Mithuna, which scored a 97. Mithuna is part of Paul John’s Zodiac series. Mithuna will be released worldwide at the end of 2020, and will be available in the United States in Spring 2021.  Mithuna’s predecessor in the Zodiac series is Kanya, which was named Asian Whiskey of the Year in the 2018 edition of “Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible” with a score of 96.

In describing Mithuna for his 2021 Whiskey Bible, Murray says, “If Mithuna means “Ultimate,” then it is the perfect name. Or maybe Mithuna means “Perfect,” then it is pretty close. It is that very rarest of things. And, if nothing else, announces Paul John Distillery on the world stage of truly great distilleries. This is a whisky to devour…while it devours you.”

“To have our whiskeys be named the second and third finest whiskeys in the world is astonishing, especially following last year’s three top spots in the Whiskey Bible, said Mark Brown, president and chief executive officer, Sazerac Company.  “It is truly a testament of the skill and dedication of not only our Master Distillers Harlen Wheatley at Buffalo Trace Distillery, and Michael D’souza at Paul John Distillery, but to all of our team members at Sazerac. We could not be happier and motivated to continue our quest to create the world’s best whiskey.”

BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLERY RELEASES ITS

MUCH ANTICIPATED 2020 ANTIQUE COLLECTION WHISKEYS

FRANKFORT, Franklin County, Ky (Sept. 9, 2020) Just in time for the fall, Buffalo Trace Distillery is releasing its 2020 Antique Collection of whiskeys (BTAC). The highly regarded collection will once again feature five limited-release whiskeys of various ages, recipes and proofs.  Here’s what fans can expect:

George T. Stagg

The proverbial powerhouse favorite of the Antique Collection, George T. Stagg, comes in at 130.4 proof this year.  Last year’s release was awarded 97 points in the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Collection, and fans will find the familiar Stagg taste profile they know and love with cinnamon, caramel and cherries on the nose, and a creamy vanilla with lightly smoked oak on the palate.  The finish is black coffee, dark cherries and herbs.

This year’s release contains bourbon from barrels filled in the spring of 2005.  Storage location of these barrels varied across warehouses L, K and Q. The evaporation loss for this year’s batch was 59%, a bit higher than the last few year’s releases.

William Larue Weller

The Antique Collection’s uncut, unfiltered, wheated recipe bourbon is William Larue Weller. Previous editions of this wheater have won many accolades, including the 2019 release receiving a Gold Medal at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition and also named 2nd finest whiskey in the world in the esteemed “Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible.”  The 2020 release was distilled in the winter of 2008 and aged in Warehouses I and C.  This bourbon registers at 134.5 proof.  Flavors of a soft caramel chew, spearmint and cinnamon can be found on the palate in this year’s offering.

Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye

Thomas H. Handy is the uncut and unfiltered straight rye whiskey. Last year’s release earned The Chairman’s Trophy, scoring 99 points at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge and was also named 3rd finest whiskey in the world in “Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible.”  This year’s Handy was distilled in the spring of 2014; aged in warehouses K, M, and N, and weighs in at 129.0 proof.  The flavor profile includes cinnamon, anise and honey.

Eagle Rare 17 Year Old

This 101 proof whiskey was distilled in Spring of 2002 and aged on the first floor of Warehouse P.  The 2019 release of this bourbon was named “Best of Category” at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.  This bourbon has a nose of ripe cherries, vanilla cream and oak, followed by a taste of caramel and coffee and a long finish of oak, pepper and fresh herbs.

Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old

The previous edition of Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old was named “Best Rye Whiskey Aged 11 Years and Over” by “Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible.”  This 2020 straight rye whiskey release has notable flavors of oak, caramel and dark chocolate, with a finish of coffee, black pepper and cherries. The barrels for this whiskey were filled in the spring of 2002 and it rested on the third floor of Warehouse K.  It is bottled at 90 proof.

The Antique Collection was introduced two decades ago and has become a cult favorite among whiskey connoisseurs. Since 2000 these whiskeys have garnered numerous awards from such notable publications as Whisky Advocate Magazine, Spirit Journal, and “Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible.”

The 2020 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) whiskeys will be available in limited quantities starting in late September or early October.  Suggested retail price is $99 each.  For more information visit http://www.buffalotracedistillery.com/brands/antique-collection.

Diageo reaffirms Johnnie Walker Princes Street tourism investment – Scotch Whisky News

Diageo reaffirms Johnnie Walker Princes Street tourism investment

New website for global flagship visitor attraction launched and public offered first opportunity to sign up

Diageo, the maker of Johnnie Walker, has reaffirmed its £185million investment programme in Scotch whisky and tourism as it opened the online doors to the Johnnie Walker Princes Street global flagship visitor experience.

Physical construction at the landmark building in the heart of Edinburgh restarted in June in compliance with all government COVID guidelines following a three month lockdown pause, but work to build the digital world for future visitors has continued unabated with the new website for the attraction (www.johnniewalkerprincesstreet.com) launched today (Tues 8th Sept).

While the detailed plans for inside the eight-story attraction, and the stunning views from its signature rooftop bars, remain a tightly guarded secret, the website gives the public the opportunity to join the journey and to be at the front of the queue for pre-sale ticket opportunities and exclusive updates on the project.

Following the lockdown construction delay and the ongoing working restrictions to comply with COVID safety protocols, it is now anticipated Johnnie Walker Princes Street will open its doors for visitors in summer 2021.

“The last few months have been so difficult and disruptive for everyone and we know there is still a long way to go, but we keep walking with confidence and we are looking to the future with positivity. Johnnie Walker Princes Street is progressing well following the restart of construction and we are delighted to be launching our website so that our future guests can share in the excitement and anticipation we feel as we build towards opening our doors to visitors next year.”

Barbara SmithManaging Director of Johnnie Walker Princes Street

Ewan Andrew, Diageo’s Global President for Supply Chain & Procurement, with executive responsibility for Diageo’s capital investment in Scotch whisky tourism – the largest single programme the industry has seen – said the commitment to Scotch whisky and Scottish tourism was stronger than ever.

“With 200 years of history Johnnie Walker has experienced many societal challenges and times of recovery, which is why the spirit of progress in the face of adversity is built into the DNA of the brand. The investment we are making in Johnnie Walker Princes Street and our whisky distilleries in rural communities throughout Scotland will not only help us to emerge stronger from this crisis, we believe it will make a major contribution to the recovery in Edinburgh and Scotland as a whole.”

Ewan AndrewDiageo’s Global President for Supply Chain & Procurement

Scottish and Edinburgh tourism sector leaders welcomed the update on Johnnie Walker Princes Street as a boost for the recovering industry.

“After an extremely difficult few months for the Scottish tourism industry, it is good to see more positive news emerging as we continue to recover from the impact of Covid-19. This new experience will be a valuable addition to the country’s world-class whisky tourism offering and I’m sure that today’s announcement will have whet the appetite of many whisky lovers right across the world. Diageo has shown real commitment to the success of Scotland’s economic future and continued investment will be key as we look to create experiences and products that encourage visitors back to Scotland in future years. Tourism is a force for good and if managed responsibly, sustains communities in every corner of Scotland, creates jobs, tackles depopulation and improves the wellbeing of everyone who experiences it.”

Malcolm RougheadVisitScotland Chief Executive

Donald EmslieChair of Edinburgh Tourism Action Group (ETAG)

Johnnie Walker Princes Street is the focal point of Diageo’s investment in Scotch whisky tourism and will include:
  • A multi-sensory, immersive visitor experience across three floors, guiding people through the 200 year history and taking them on a journey through the flavours of Scotland.
  • A flexible events space for staging music, theatre, arts and community events, making the venue part of the thriving cultural life of the city.
  • A training academy that will be a home for Diageo’s award-winning Learning for Life programme, which creates training and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry for unemployed people, and works to improve hospitality standards and promotes the responsible serving and consumption of alcohol.
  • Rooftop bars with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle and across the city skyline to east, west and north.
  • At street level the plans include a significant retail space continuing the legacy of high street retail presence at this historic shopping location.

The investment in Johnnie Walker Princes Street and transforming Diageo’s existing 12 distillery visitor attractions across Scotland totals £150million with a further £35million invested in reopening the iconic “lost” distilleries of Port Ellen and Brora.

Whisky from Diageo’s distilleries all over Scotland contribute to Johnnie Walker, but four distilleries – Glenkinchie, Cardhu, Caol Ila and Clynelish – will be linked directly to the Johnnie Walker venue in Edinburgh, representing the ‘four corners of Scotland’ and the regional flavour variations crucial to the art of whisky-making. Together these sites will create a unique Johnnie Walker tour of Scotland, encouraging visitors to the capital city to also travel to the country’s extraordinary rural communities.

INTRODUCING JAMESON CRESTED X EIGHT DEGREES BREWING – Irish Whiskey News

INTRODUCING JAMESON CRESTED X EIGHT DEGREES BREWING

Irish Distillers, makers of some of the world’s most enjoyed whiskeys, has joined forces with Eight Degrees Brewing for a unique edition of the beloved Jameson Crested.

Launching this month, Jameson Crested Finished in Black Ball Metric Stout Barrels is the next step in an exciting collaboration between Irish Distillers and its Co. Cork neighbour, Eight Degrees, who last year celebrated eight years of adventurous craft beer brewing by releasing a uniquely dark Black Ball Metric Stout finished in Jameson barrels as the last iteration of their Rack ‘em Up Series.

Always seeking an opportunity to innovate, Jameson returned the compliment by selecting a special whiskey to mature in the stout soaked barrels. The result is a stunning evolution of Jameson Crested, with a rich stout influence married with a luscious creamy texture and lingering finish of pot still spices and malt.

“We were delighted when the opportunity arose to create a truly special whiskey,” explains Irish Distillers’ Blender Dave McCabe.

“When we were selecting a whiskey to mature in these barrels, Jameson Crested became the obvious choice. It’s higher pot still component and sherry cask inclusion allowed the whiskey to meet the impact of the stout head on, creating a balanced reaction.

“We filled the casks in November last year and carefully monitored the whiskey’s progress. After about four months of ageing we felt it was just right.  The stout influence is prevalent in the taste, complementing the whiskey beautifully.

“It’s a truly unique liquid, perfect when enjoyed neat, paired with a craft stout, or as part of a spiced cocktail,” adds McCabe.

Derek Neville, Head Cellarman at Eight Degrees Brewing adds: “It was an honour to be given the opportunity to create our special 8th anniversary stout using barrels from Jameson, the world’s most popular Irish whiskey. Today we are delighted to have made our mark on Jameson Crested, an icon of Irish whiskey, through the release of this special edition.”

A limited-edition release of fewer than 10,000 bottles globally, Jameson Crested Finished in Black Ball Metric Stout Barrels will launch in Jameson’s brand home outlets at Bow Street, Dublin, and Midleton, Cork, this month, and will be available through Jameson’s online shop at jamesonwhiskey.com, priced at €45 (70cl)[1]. It will also be available to air passengers vising the new Dublin Airport shop in Terminal 2 from mid-October.

RARE FETTERCAIRN 46 YEARS A CELEBRATION OF AGEING EXCELLENCE – Scotch Whisky News

RARE FETTERCAIRN 46 YEARS A CELEBRATION OF AGEING EXCELLENCE

Award-winning, exceptionally rare aged expression from a defining year

Fettercairn Distillery has unveiled a rare, exquisite addition to its range of Highland single malt whiskies.  The Fettercairn 46 Years Old showcases the distillery’s rare maturing stock and its skill in creating the very best in older age expressions; such excellence now endorsed by the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) with its award of Double Gold in the 2020 competition.

Distilled on 8th May 1973, the initial release of 46 Years Old tells a story of an expertly nurtured aged single malt, but more than that, it honours a definitive moment in time.  This was a year of great historical change; of major innovation and technological advancement and of profound cultural evolution. From the end of the Vietnam War and the Watergate scandal; to the first handheld mobile phone call and the introduction of the ATM; to space travel and legendary music and movie releases.  Defining, and game changing, too for the innovators of Fettercairn as this was the year the distillery joined the Whyte and Mackay family; a true milestone in the story of this hidden gem.

Beginning with the optimal maturation conditions, the spirit has slumbered in the highest quality casks under the watchful eye of distillery manager John Livie initially in 1973, to Stewart Walker today.

Shaped by a lengthy union with American white oak ex-Bourbon barrels, this single malt went onto spend four years in 40-years-old Tawny Port Pipes, themselves the epitome of scarcity.  This creative maturation gave the classic tropical character a greater depth of sweetness, marrying perfectly with the distinctive flavours created from the unique cooling ring, which defines Fettercairn’s pure spirit.

Bottled at 42.5% ABV, Fettercairn 46 Years Old is naturally cherry wood in colour with a nose of over-ripe bananas, toasted bread, citrus fruit and plum, giving way to raisin, bitter chocolate, fig and spice. The palate is defined by spiced pear, coffee, caramelised orange and liquorice.; leading to black cherries and treacle with a finish of plum, demerara sugar and chocolate.

Kirsteen Beeston, Head of International Malts at Whyte and Mackay, said, “This is a truly scarce and special single malt; a celebration of the years of passion and commitment which are inherent to the way Fettercairn Distillery has always been.

We recognise that having such incredible treasures in our warehouses means we need to ensure we always respect when and how we bring these amazing aged whiskies to single malt drinkers, and this is something we will always honour.

With a firm commitment to exceptional ageing quality, Fettercairn Distillery has consistently demonstrated an unwavering ability to mature and nurture spirit to such high quality and impressive ages. We’re delighted this release has been recognised with the Double Gold award at ISC 2020 – it is testament to how truly exquisite this bottling is.”

With only 55 bottles initially released, Fettercairn 46 Years Old is offered at 42.5% ABV, with no added colour and is non-chill filtered. The new expression will be available from selected global specialist retailers in the UK, Europe and Asia at an RSP of £8,500.

About Fettercairn

Located in the picturesque village of Fettercairn at the foothills of Scotland’s Cairngorm Mountains, this hidden gem is found among some of the finest and most fertile farming land in the North East of Scotland. With the purest of mountain water as an ingredient, it is almost no surprise that when the distillery was established by Sir Alexander Ramsay in 1824, the enterprising pioneer chose this location.

In the mid-1950s, the whisky-makers at Fettercairn experimented, seeking ways to create a purer expression of their spirit. They found that pouring water down the still cooled the copper, increasing condensation inside so only the lightest vapours could rise for collection. With this knowledge they fashioned a unique copper cooling ring around the neck of the stills drenching them with crystal clear mountain water – an ingenious and practical solution to creating their exceptional whisky, a technique which remains unique in Scotch whisky-making to this day.

ABERFELDY® RELEASE 18 YEARS OLD LIMITED-EDITION FRENCH RED WINE CASK – Scotch Whisky News

ABERFELDY® RELEASE 18 YEARS OLD LIMITED-EDITION FRENCH RED WINE CASK

Hamilton, Bermuda, 8th September 2020 – John Dewar & Sons unveils its latest limited expression from The Golden Dram – ABERFELDY 18 Years Old, finished in French Wine Casks from Pauillac, Bordeaux.

The special edition bottling will be available today from the Distillery shop, https://shop.dewars.com/ for an exclusive one-month period before being released in selected markets.

Initially spending 18 years in a combination of first-fill Bourbon, re-fill and re-char casks, the whisky has undergone a second maturation period of around 4-5 months to impart a deeper flavour profile, and create a perfect balance between Aberfeldy’s honeyed richness and the firm tannins and complexity of Pauillac wines.

Pauillac is one of the most sought-after wine regions in Bordeaux, home to world famous wineries, the appellation produces a collection of fine red wines that are unrivalled in terms of quality. Having the deepest gravel in the Médoc*, with some chalk and clay, soils and microclimates play a vital role in Pauillac. In Bordeaux, proximity to the river is also all-important. Vineyards located at the river’s edge bask in a microclimate, and this is where the highest quality wines in Bordeaux are found.

The style of Pauillac wine is what many think of as textbook Bordeaux wine; a balance of power and grace with notable flavours of cassis, blackberry, tobacco, cigar box, spice, earth and cedar wood aromas coupled with firm tannins.

Malt Master, Stephanie MacLeod, carefully monitored maturation and flavour development in the casks until the desired flavour profile had been achieved. Pauillac is a robust wine, so the goal was to use this cask type to complement and elevate the signature character of Aberfeldy, not mask it.

Stephanie comments, “Pauillac casks are the aristocrats of the Médoc, they provide notes of black cherries, blackberries and a cedar wood spice. Aberfeldy’s wonderfully soft signature honey and creamy vanilla notes are invigorated with swathes of plush ripe fruits and lovely nutty aromas to create an incredibly elegant and fruitful whisky”

ABERFELDY 18 Years Old French Red Wine Cask expression is bottled at a higher strength of 43% ABV and joins the existing portfolio of single malts as a limited-edition expression.

Priced at £95, the new bottling will be initially available exclusively from the Aberfeldy Distillery and its online shop: https://shop.dewars.com/ from 8th September for one month and then rolled out  in the following markets: USA, China, Taiwan, Germany, France.

Aberfeldy Distillery reopened to visitors on July 20th, experiences such as the Aberfeldy Tour, Cask Tasting Tour and Connoisseur Tour are all available to pre-book online. Visitors to Aberfeldy Distillery’s Whisky Lounge and Bar, which is open to guests booked onto an experience, can and raise a dram with one of the ABERFELDY® whiskies on offer in comfort, and will be able to purchase ABERFELDY 18 Years Old direct from the Distillery shop.

JACK DANIEL’S MASTER DISTILLER JEFF ARNETT STEPPING DOWN AFTER NEARLY 20 YEARS AT ICONIC TENNESSEE WHISKEY BRAND – American Whiskey News

JACK DANIEL’S MASTER DISTILLER JEFF ARNETT STEPPING DOWN

AFTER NEARLY 20 YEARS AT ICONIC TENNESSEE WHISKEY BRAND

LYNCHBURG, Tenn. (September 3, 2020) — Following a nearly 20-year career at the Jack Daniel Distillery, where he served as Master Distiller for the last 12, Jeff Arnett is stepping down from his position, the company announced today.

Appointed Master Distiller in April 2008, Jeff has stewarded the iconic Tennessee Whiskey and been instrumental to the growth of Jack Daniel’s, which is now sold in more than 170 countries around the world. Jack Daniel’s is the #1 selling whiskey in the world.

“When Jeff became the Master Distiller, we said that he would carry on the long tradition of folks who have made the world’s best whiskey for more than 150 years, and that’s exactly what he’s done,” said Larry Combs, Jack Daniel Distillery SVP and General Manager. “He has worked tirelessly on behalf of the distillery and brought with him the creativity and the expertise that makes Jack Daniel’s the most valuable whiskey brand in the world. We thank him for his leadership not only at Jack Daniel’s but in the whiskey industry and wish him all the best.”

In 2017, Jeff was named Master Distiller of the Year by Whisky Magazine and he has served on the board of the Tennessee Distillers Guild since 2016, most recently as Vice President. Under Arnett’s tenure, his know-how combined with his curiosity as a whiskey maker have contributed to numerous innovations by the Jack Daniel Distillery, including the introduction of super-premium whiskeys such as Sinatra Select, Single Barrel Barrel Proof, Single Barrel “Heritage Barrel” and the Tennessee Tasters’ limited edition series. Several flavored whiskeys were also launched under his watch, including Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey, Tennessee Fire and Tennessee Apple. He most recently lent his expertise towards the crafting of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, the first new grain bill from the Jack Daniel Distillery since Prohibition.

“The last 20 years at the Jack Daniel Distillery have been an incredible chapter in my life and I look forward to spending some time to think about what the next chapter will hold,” said Arnett. “I wish everyone in Lynchburg the best and I am appreciative of the support and confidence they have shown in me to represent Jack Daniel’s to the world during my time there. It has been an honor and privilege to be one of only a handful of people to have served as the Master Distiller of this wonderful brand known around the world as simply ‘Jack’.”

As Master Distiller, Arnett has been responsible for the overall whiskey-making operations in Lynchburg, Tennessee. Prior to that position, he oversaw quality control and the Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel program. Throughout his time at the distillery, he worked in a variety of capacities including warehousing, maturation, distillation, charcoal mellowing management, barrel quality and bottling, and enjoyed a long tenure on the Master Tasters’ panel.  Jeff has also traveled the world to share the story of Jack Daniel’s and sip whiskey with old and new friends alike.

The distillery said it would have an announcement on Arnett’s replacement in the coming weeks.
