Distilled 31st May 2019 using un-peated spirit then laid to rest in a single cask Chinkapin cask for 5 years, 0 months and 23 days! Bottled in 2024 at 61.4% vol.

Isle of Raasay Na Sia Unpeated Single Cask #19/307

This single cask release was distilled 29th March 2019 using un-peated spirit then laid to rest in American Rye cask #19/307 for 5 years, 2 months and 25 days! Bottled in 2024 at 61.2% vol.

Isle of Raasay Na Sia Unpeated Single Cask #19/433

A single cask release, distilled 3rd May 2019 using un-peated spirit then laid to rest in ex-Bordeaux red wine cask #19/433 for 5 years, 1 month and 20 days! Bottled in 2024 at 60.5% vol.

For their excellent single malt the distillery combines peated and unpeated spirits in ex-rye whiskey, chinkapin oak and ex-Bordeaux red wine casks.

Towards the end of 2024 the ecommerce team visited the Isle of Mull to explore the Tobermory Distillery.  A stunning journey only topped by the fantastic array of drams from Tobermory and Ledaig.

As the distillery pre-dates the Tobermory village on its doorstep, the sense of craft, history, island life can be savoured in the disparate flavours of both Ledaig and Tobermory.

Tobermory: The Colour of Whisky

Established in 1798, Tobermory distillery is situated in the heart of the Hebridean capital of the Isle of Mull, with an enviable location overlooking the famous colourful houses adorning the harbour. As well as their original single malt whisky, they produce a range of botanical gins and a heavily peated expression, Ledaig, which has become something of a W Club cult favourite.

The Whisky Shop E-Commerce team made the journey to Mull from Glasgow (train-ferry-car), to meet with Visitor Manager, Diana, and the newly posted Distillery Manager, Scott, for a journey through Tobermory and Ledaig.

The Lost Distillery Jericho Archivist

A massive favourite of Inverurie Whisky Shop staff and customers, this engaging sherry monster contains whiskies aged between 15 and 18 years old, produced in a batch of just 1500 bottles and bottled at 53% ABV.

Lost Distilleries have recreated this whisky to represent the whisky produced at Jericho Distillery in Aberdeenshire.  A farm distillery for its entire existence, Jericho produced whisky made entirely from the local produce and were pioneers in the sherry cask maturation.

DISTILLERY FOCUS: Ardnamurchan – Aberdeen Whisky Shop News

The Ardnamurchan distillery is located on the picturesque peninsula of the same name. This Adelphi-owned distillery started construction in 2013; with sustainability in mind, the buildings are powered by renewable energy.

The first distillation occurred in 2014, and the first official single malt was released in 2017. Ardnamurchan produces both peated and unpeated spirits, often combining the two to create a new depth of flavours and unique style.
