Add a flight from Oban to your tour to Islay
Oban Airport is the perfect place to take off from on your west coast island adventure. The airports of Coll, Colonsay, Tiree and Islay are typically around 30 minutes flying time away. Hebridean Air offer several connections each week to the Isles – typical flight times are around half an hour – making it easy to spend a day exploring, just sit back and enjoy the view. They fly to Coll and Tiree on Mondays and Wednesdays and Islay and Colonsay on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We have designed a few sample tours, to add on to your longer tour with us … we do everything for you, transfers, accommodation, entry fees and bookings, even food and drink – all fully guided.
Oban – Islay; an easy way to add a few days on whisky island to your whisky tour. After, or in the middle, end of your tour with us, why not add two nights on Islay? Day 1 Leave Oban on Tuesday and spend the remainder of the day exploring Islay, with a driver and vehicle meeting you at Islay airport, then whisking you away to take a distillery or two (Laphroaig, Lagavulin or Ardbeg) . Overnight; we have a variety of accommodations from rooms in a pub to 4 star. Enjoy the night.
Day 2 We start after breakfast with a visit to an oyster farm, on a loch. This privately owned family business, will chat to you about their work, where the oysters go, before giving samples – our favourite is a freshly opened oyster with a wee dram of whisky poured into the shell. From here to Bruichladdich for either a tour or just taste and shopping. Along to a wee place we know for lunch, many options here including over 250 whiskies behind the bar! We then head up to Bunnahabhain and Caol Ila – tour or dram, up to you. Head back to your accommodation for a final night – make it a good one, do you like seafood? Care to spend on a platter for two? We can pre book this for you – it is superb.
Day 3 A 15.50 flight back to Oban so you have time for more Islay whisky! Arriving back in Oban approx. 16.30, we meet you and drive to your next destination; Oban or a longer tour with us.

Whisky Dinner Wednesday January 16th @7pm
It’s Whisky Pairing time again with this time with independant bottler; Douglas Laing.
We are happy to announce our 1st Whisky Dinner of the year. Keith Beattie of Douglas Laing will be traveling from Scotland to host our Whisky Pairing Dinner on Wednesday January 16th at 7pm.
Keith has been in the drinks industry for 2 decades and just recently joined Douglas Laing last year. His role? Head of Commercial, I guess we’ll find out exactly what that means at the dinner.
Douglas Laing & Co was established in 1948. As an established independent bottler, Douglas Laing has access to great whisky stocks and has a wonderful lineup of whiskies in their; Remarkable Regional Malts and the Exceptional Single Cask series. Lets show Keith a big Canadian Whisky Kitchen welcome and join us next week for an entertaining evening with great whisky from the warehouses of Douglas Laing.
Our talented kitchen team are, yet again, creating 5 stunning dishes to pair with 5 great whiskies.
This is sure to be another great night of food, whisky and distillery tales.

SCOTLAND: Isle of Raasay Distillery’s Burns and Whisky Weekend package – £339
The Isle of Raasay Distillery is hosting a Burns and Whisky Weekend a stone’s throw away from where the poet, Sorley Maclean, was born.
The offering includes a two-night stay for two including all meals, checking in Friday 25th January and checking out Sunday 27th January 2019. Guests will dine at the distillery on Friday evening and enjoy a hearty lunch on Saturday before an exclusive whisky tasting and warehouse tour with the distillery’s co-founder, Alasdair Day.
The weekend will finish in style with a traditional Burns supper on the Saturday evening, featuring traditional Scottish dishes, from traditional haggis to rhubarb cranachan with homemade shortbread and whisky fudge.

LONDON: Glenfiddich X Skylight Rooftop – Burns Night Celebration
On Friday 25th January, Glenfiddich whisky will be taking over London’s most imaginative rooftop destination, Skylight at Tobacco Dock for London’s biggest Burns Night celebration. This evening will also kick off the closing weekend of Skylight’s winter season.
In honour of the great Scottish poet, Robert Burns, the rooftop will undergo a boozy makeover from the multi award-winning distillery, bringing with them signature whisky tipples. Entertainment, aside from the rooftop ice rink, will come from traditional Scottish musicians alongside the spectacle of a highly-anticipated rooftop ceilidh. Expect music, singing, dancing and storytelling.
Guests will be able to cosy up under the heated pergola or grab a table and settle in on the lower floor, equipped with DJ to dance the night away. Skylight’s rooftop igloos will also be available to book – the perfect place to pull up a blanket and sip on mulled drinks to warm the cockles. Street food will also be on offer, with some Scottish twists added to the menu.
Founded in 1887 and situated in Dufftown, the Glenfiddich Distillery is one of the worlds best known whisky brands and is home to the world’s most-awarded single malt.
