Scotch Whisky Auctions ” 2017 Charity Auction” – Scotch Whisky News

SWA Glenfiddich

SURPRISE!

That’s right, we’ve got a surprise bonus auction happening this month, with all the profit generated being donated to Blameless UK.

Blameless Charity was formed to provide fun times, happy memories and a vision of hope for the future for children and families affected by alcoholism and addiction.

More information can be found at:

http://blamelessuk.co.uk/

It’s a great cause, and to help raise money, we have several fantastic bottles from Glenfiddich.

This special bottle is unique to Scotch Whisky Auctions. The eagle eyed amongst you may notice that this shares a cask number with the 2016 Spirit of Speyside Festival bottle. Once the festival was over, the remaining spirit from the Sherry Butt was re-racked in an American oak Bourbon cask for a further year.

Master Blender Brian Kinsman has this to say:

“It is a lovely expression of Glenfiddich from a 2nd fill sherry butt where the influence of the Spanish oak is nicely balanced with the rich fruity character of Glenfiddich. Rich and sweet with hints of dry tannin, soft spice and dried fruits.”

Just Whisky Auction is now Live

48th Auction starts with some special lots from Yamazaki, Macallan & Ardbeg!

Just Whisky’s November auction just went Live! Here at Just Whisky we’re excited by a lot of the new releases, not least by the new Mizunara cask matured Yamazaki. Mizunara wood is notoriously difficult to work with and consequently, the bottles released after maturation in this wood are few and far between, making them incredibly attractive to whisky enthusiasts looking to try a different taste. There are only two of these bottles to bid on, so don’t miss your chance to secure one for yourself.

In among the auction, there are a lot of real gems. As usual, for the full listing just visit our website and click on ‘Live Auction’.

OCTOBER AUCTION NOW LIVE

Our October Auction is now up and running and it is absolutely jam-packed with endless bounty to fill your trick-or-treat bags with! Here’s a sneak peak into some of the highlights…

IMG2

MACALLAN FINE AND RARE

Vintage Macallan truly is something special. As drinkers, collectors and investors it sits extremely high, if not the at top of the wish list. The ‘Fine and Rare’ bottlings have been described as the best Macallans out there with certain vintages gaining a mass appreciation and following amongst the whisky world. This month we are very excited to have 6 different vintages featured in our auction so don’t let this amazing opportunity go by you!

IMG3

BOWMORE 1965

We love the presentation of this Bowmore and according to those that have been fortunate enough to try it, the quality of the spirit matches its luxury packaging. In 2008, this was a Travel Retail Exclusive available at London Heathrow Terminal 5 and as you can imagine, did not last long!

IMG4

JOHN SCOTT’S Independent whisky retailer, ‘John Scott and Miller’ bottled a series of Highland Park casks purchased in the sixties. Up until 1955, the shop’s bottlings were labelled as ‘John Scott’ so this collection is in homage to that. Each release is extremely limited with some yielding under 100 bottles. Single cask Highland Park never fail to impress and we can guarantee these will too.

 IMG5

NIKKA SINGLE CASKS

We have some great single cask releases from both of Nikka’s distilleries; Yoichi and Miyagikyo. Miyagikyo and Yoichi currently only produce NAS whisky so to feature their old single cask stock is something we find really exciting. Get a hold of these now because they won’t be around for much longer!

Our July Auction is live until Monday 6th November, there is no fee to register on our site, our commission structure is very competitive and we offer worldwide shipping. For our terms and conditions please click here.

Perth-based Whisky Auctioneer offer up a never before seen collection of incredible vintage whiskies – Scotch Whisky News

WA 1

WA IMAGE 2

Perth-based Whisky Auctioneer offer up a never before seen collection of incredible vintage whiskies.

The rarest and oldest vintages from Scotland’s most sought after distilleries will go under the hammer in an exclusive online auction held by Whisky Auctioneer. (www.whiskyauctioneer.com)

The private collection, brought together over many years of devoted searching, consists of 104 iconic ‘dumpy’ bottlings released by Cadenhead’s. As Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, Cadenhead’s have long been known for releasing stunning whiskies but none more so than those from this range.

The entire collection has an estimated worth of over £100,000, with many of the individual bottles expected to fetch in excess of £2000.

Scotland’s most collectible distilleries, both open and closed, will feature in the auction. Amongst the lots on offer will be some incredible 1950s vintages, including examples from Talisker, Highland Park, Springbank and Mortlach. Accompanying these will be no less than six 1960s Bowmore and an extremely rare Ardbeg from 1965, which is one of only 20 released.

With the growing scarcity of vintage whisky many of these bottles have not appeared at auction in recent years. Examples such as a Rosebank 1966 and Glenlivet 1954, that not so long ago were making in the region of £200 at auction, are expected to make ten times this amount in today’s market, highlighting the current demand for bottles of this nature.

Commenting on the auction, Managing Director of Whisky Auctioneer Iain McClune said, ‘This is a truly stunning group of bottles, the like of which we have never seen together in one auction before. Examples from this bygone era of whisky production have become increasingly elusive in recent years, making them exceptionally desirable both to whisky enthusiasts and those looking to invest.’

Whisky Auctioneer specialises in auctioning fine, old, rare and collectible whisky. This exclusive one off auction will go live on Friday 6th October and run until Monday 16th October.
