Glenlivet 1943 Gordon and MacPhail 70 Year Old Private Collection

Distilled at the height of the Second World War, this whisky patiently matured for over 70 years before being hand-selected for bottling in 2013.
One of only 40 bottles.

Karuizawa 38 Year Old Sherry Cask #4348 / Pearl Geisha

The fifth release in the Geisha series from cult Japanese distillers, Karuizawa. Sherry-matured for 38 years, this rare spirit then filled only 172 exclusive bottles.

Mortlach 1971 The Singing Stills 47 Year Old

Released in April 2019, this is the oldest distillery expression Mortlach have ever released. Limited to just 94 bottles, it features the final 1971 vintage casks from the distillery.

Port Ellen 39 Year Old Untold Stories: The Spirit Safe

An expert marriage between ex US-Bourbon and ex European Sherry refill casks, this is the oldest of Port Ellen’s original stock to be released globally. Distilled in 1978, this elegant and complex whisky is an exploration of Port Ellen’s history.

Intertrade Bottlings

This month welcomes a wealth of prominent independent bottlings from famous Italian importers, Intertrade. Our auction features bottlings from Laphroaig, Bowmore, The Glenlivet and Balvenie to name a few.

Islay Festival Auction

Hot on the trail of last weeks stellar Fèis Ìle, we are excited to launch our exclusive Islay Festival Auction

The Whisky Auctioneer team were lucky enough to join the festival, but for those who were not able to make the trip don’t worry – you will find all of the new 2019 festival releases as well as some of the greatest bottlings from previous years in our auction.

2019 Official Festival Releases

Once again, 2019 saw at least one official release from each distillery during the Fèis (Islay devotees rejoice!). Explore Bruichladdich’s oldest Octomore release, exciting twists on traditional expressions from Lagavulin and Caol Ila as well as Ardbeg’s surprise single cask.

Bowmore 23 Year Old Fèis Ìle 2019

This years vintage Fèis Ìle edition is a spectacular 23 year old sherried single cask, of which there are just 325 bottles! Credit to all those who camped out in Bowmore’s legendary queue to get their hands on this highly-sought after malt!

Bunnahabhain 1988 Champagne Finish

Bunnahabhain certainly didn’t disappoint with their experimental 2019 Fèis Ìle releases. One of which is this vintage expression with an astonishingly unique Champagne cask finish. A limited run of only 120 covetable bottles.

2019 Hunter Laing Kinship Collection

At this years Fèis, the spotlight was on not only the proprietary bottlings, but also some fantastic indy releases including the third Kinship collection from Hunter Laing to celebrate the commencement of distilling at Ardnahoe.

Bunnahabhain 13 Year Old Marsala Finish with Signed Cask End

Aged for 13 years and finished in Marsala wood, this is number 50 of 100 bottles gifted specially to Fèis Ìle volunteers in 2017. Alongside this is a Fèis Ìle branded cask end, featuring an autograph from each of the Islay Distillery Managers.
All proceeds from the sale of this lot will go to the Fèis Ìle Committee, the charitable organisation behind the planning and running of the world’s most famous whisky festival.

Campbeltown Malts Festival 2019

On the run up to Fèis Ìle, we must not forget the four day event which celebrated the best malts Kintyre has to offer. Our auction also features some of these exclusive festival releases from Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia.

Charity Partner:Islay Pollinator Initiative

We are delighted to announce that we will partner with the Islay Pollinator Initiative for our Islay Festival Auction.  A portion of the profits from the auction will be donated to assist in their plan to develop an observation hive and information displays within the Islay Nature Centre.

With plenty of new releases from Clynelish, Redbreast, Chichibu! Oh and the little matter of the latest bottles from Feis Ile 2019!

On top of all that, this month you have the opportunity to buy your very own cask of Macallan! That’s right, Just Whisky have a 29-year-old Macallan bourbon cask up for grabs this auction.

But if you’re not quite ready to take on an entire cask, perhaps a 52-year-old Macallan will suffice? Here’s just a few more of the cracking bottles to choose from.

MACALLAN 1990 REFILL HOGSHEAD CASK NO.11164 – HELD IN BOND (WHISKYBROKER)

The cask was re-gauged on 23rd May 2019 and found to contain 181.5976 bulk litres (77.9299 ltr alc) at a strength of 42.9%, yielding around 259 x 70cl bottles at full cask strength (more, if diluted down). The cask is currently stored in bond with Whisky Broker Ltd. The successful winner of this lot will receive a certificate of ownership from the current UK Duty Representative. They will also have the option to change the UK Duty Representative.

MACALLAN 52 YEAR OLD – 2018 RELEASE (One of 250 bottles)

The Macallan 52 Years Old is an extraordinary spirit that delivers a sublime brilliance, achieved as a result of time and dedication to allow maturation for over five decades.

ARDBEG 2003 – 2019 FEIS ILE SINGLE CASK NO.2455 (One of 231 bottles)

Ardbeg Single Cask released for Feis Ile 2019. Distilled 10th September 2003, bottled 10th April 2019. Matured in a Chenic Blanc Barrel (cask no. 2455).

MACALLAN 1988 – 2018 EXCEPTIONAL SINGLE CASK NO.8 (One of 508 bottles)

Speyside single malt giant, Macallan launched its Exceptional Single Cask range in 2017, the name has carried on from their original single cask bottlings which were released during the ’90s.

Cask No.8 was recently released via emails from Macallan to the lucky few customers on their database. Contained in cask No.8 was exceptional Macallan malt which had been distilled in April 1988. The whisky was matured in a single European Oak Sherry Butt until being hand selected by Sarah Burgees on the 10th of July 2018 and being bottled at cask strength in October 2018, one of only 508 bottles.
