On Friday 5th April, the Bartenders’ Brand Awards 2019 will announce the results of its annual competition and spirits brand R&B Distillers is thrilled to have been awarded two prestigious medals for Raasay While We Wait 2018 and The Tweeddale Grain of Truth.

Now into its second year, the awards celebrate drinks products available throughout the UK bar industry and are judged through a unique blind tasting, design and value-tested competition by a panel of 40 bartenders representing some of the best bars in the UK today.

R&B Distillers’ The Tweeddale Grain of Truth Grain has been awarded a silver medal in the taste category, silver for its design and bronze for value. The latest addition to the heritage The Tweeddale collection, Grain of Truth was released in October 2018 to prove that single grain whisky can be every bit as good as single malt. The Tweeddale Grain of Truth is a memorable, rich, complex single grain made from 50% malted barley, 50% wheat and finished in Oloroso sherry hogsheads.

Raasay While We Wait 2018 was released in October 2018 and has now been awarded silver medals across all three categories at the Bartenders’ Brand Awards 2019.While waiting for Raasay’s first single malt Scotch Whisky to mature in the distillery’s warehouse, independent bottling Raasay While We Wait 2018’s smoky and fruity whisky demonstrates R&B Distillers’ whisky making skills and offers a taste of what’s to come from the distillery.
