Born of two art forms, Edition No. 3 unites the worlds of whisky and aroma in creating and experiencing The Macallan. Working with our latest collaborator in the series, Master Perfumer Roja Dove, this instalment creates an experience of whisky, flavour and aroma that are intimately entwined.
THE MASTER OF AROMA
Roja Dove first visited our distillery in 2009. With a shared vision for creativity, innovation and craft, this was the start of a long-standing collaboration that unites the worlds of fragrance and whisky.
From a magical box of aroma oils that revealed an all-new sensory introduction to the world of The Macallan, to a set of aroma candles that characterise the 1824 Series; the art of whisky making alongside Roja’s creative perfumery genius has brought to life the experience and enjoyment of The Macallan through the senses.
For the latest instalment of the innovative Edition Series, Roja once again travelled to Scotland; bringing his unique skill to the whisky making process itself.
