THE PLOUGH REVEALS EXTENSIVE WHISKY LIST AHEAD OF ’NEXT DOOR AT THE PLOUGH’ LAUNCH
The Plough in Harborne has revealed an extensive new whisky menu ahead of the launch of ’Next Door at The Plough’ which will see the arrival of a dedicated whisky bar. The £750k project will see the popular neighbourhood pub on Harborne High Street add a new first floor extension which will be home to two new private dining and meeting rooms whilst extending its ground floor by 40 covers.
The new menu which will launch mid-November to coincide with the opening of ‘Next Door at The Plough’ takes in over 100 whiskies. The new list builds on The Plough’s already impressive whisky offering with 22 variations from the USA, 13 from Japan, 40 Scotch whiskies and 24 new world whiskies. Additions to the list include Smogen the Sherry Project, hand crafted in a young, independent distillery in Sweden and The Oamaruvian 16 year 1999 Double Wood which takes its moniker from the fact it has been aged for six years in American ex-bourbon casks and ten years in red wine casks. Another highlight on the list is the Redemption Rye Barrel Proof which has been matured for 6 years and bottled at barrel proof in the USA.

The launch of ‘Next Door’ has given us a platform from which to enhance The Plough experience whilst allowing us to develop our menu and product range even further. The new menus will complement our existing drinks range which takes in an array of hand-crafted spirits, including artisan vodkas and rums, to name a few.”
Whisky prices on the list start from £3.30 and go up to £22.
