Hi folks. For the last four years we have delivered one of the best whisky auction experiences in the country and we are committed to continuing that. Unfortunately costs are rising all the time, and although we have held prices at our original levels, we are having to look at our cost base.

Consequently, from the 51st auction, all PayPal transactions will attract a premium of 2%. Other online auction sites have either dropped PayPal or impose a surcharge of 3.4% because its charges can be high. To counterbalance that, online credit card payments will be free of charge through WorldPay. Telephone or personal payments will also now become free of charges. In addition to accepting all the major debit and credit cards, we also accept Amex, which again, is free for online payment.

We hope you agree these charges are fair and we can continue to count on your support.

As you know we have had a few issues with our servers recently and have been talking steps to ensure it doesn’t happen again. We are moving to a UK-based dedicated server with full support. We will be investing heavily in this to make sure we deliver the best and most robust system for our auctions. We will, of course, keep you fully informed about the switch and when it will take place.
