Old Pulteney Toasts Double Global Awards Success
Glasses are being raised this month to celebrate Scotland’s Maritime Malt scooping two prestigious international accolades.
Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whisky is toasting a gold medal at the World Whiskies Awards 2015, with both gold and silver medals won at this year’s San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
Held at the Waldorf Hilton in London, The World Whiskies Awards 2015 honoured Old Pulteney with an esteemed gold medal in the Best Scotch – Highland Single Malt Whisky category.
Across the Atlantic, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition had 1580 submissions in total from 66 countries around the world, making it no mean feat that Old Pulteney was awarded a gold medal for its 12 Year Old and a silver medal for Old Pulteney Navigator.
Commenting on the whisky’s double awards success, Margaret Mary Clarke, Senior Brand Manager of Old Pulteney commented: “To win a medal at one global spirits competition is wonderful, but to be recognised at two in the same month is quite an achievement.
“We know Old Pulteney is a special single malt whisky and to be recognised in two of the top international awards is testament to our distinguished maritime malt.
“It’s also a well-deserved acknowledgment of the passion and skill of our Old Pulteney distillery team in Wick.”
Named the Maritime Malt thanks to its distillery’s northerly location by the sea in Wick, Old Pulteney is a top ten malt in the UK.
