The Scottish weather. Summer (thats a laugh to start with!) 2012
Well, what can we say? to anyone who has been here, or those of us who live here, it’s known. But this year we have a strange one for you … some parts of Scotland do not have enough water to make whisky! The western isles, outer isles etc have had so little rain, their water supply is down to unmanageable levels. With no enough water, we cannee make whisky! On the other hand, other areas of Scotland (east) we have had too much rain! making a ruin of the barley fields, giving some distilleries a headache where to obtain their barley. So, good and bad, typical Scotland I must say!
