Our nearest distillery to us in Huntly, North East of Scotland, is the GlenDronach Distillery, famous for producing richly sherried single malt whiskies of inimitable and individual character. Glendronach was mothballed in 1996 its future looked uncertain and unclear. It was the success and demand for Ballantine’s, which prompted Allied Domecq to resurrect it back in 2002. Today, Glendronach is in the hands of the Benriach Distillery Company who have invested quite heavily in the brand which has resulted in a the core range of the 12 year old ‘Original’, 15 year old ‘Revival’ and 18 year old ‘Allardice’ and most recent ‘Parliament’ 21 year

old. Also some very good single cask bottlings and some cask finish releases.
