OCTOBER 2026 AUCTION NOW LIVE!

As the autumn evenings draw in, our October auction offers an opportunity to discover whiskies with stories that span generations, from celebrated names and remarkable vintages, to bottles that have become increasingly scarce with the passing of time.

Among the highlights of this month’s sale is a particularly intriguing piece of Glenlivet history: a bottle distilled in 1969 at the Glenlivet Distillery. Some whiskies are made to be enjoyed. Others are destined to be remembered. Nearly three decades after its distillation, this rare expression was bottled in 1998 at cask strength, carrying the sample code 2LVF901. The precise cask type used for its maturation, and the number of casks involved, remain unknown, details that add an appealing sense of mystery to an already exceptional release.

What is known is its remarkable scarcity – only a few hundred bottles were produced of this older vintage! Distilled in another era and patiently matured for almost thirty years, this is more than simply a bottle of Glenlivet. It is a tangible piece of whisky history, a surviving snapshot of a different time in Scotch whisky production.

Also featuring in our October auction is the 2026 edition of Springbank 21 Years Old, a highly anticipated release and a firm favourite among whisky enthusiasts since its re-introduction in 2005. This annual expression was matured in a carefully balanced combination of 65% Port Casks, 25% Bourbon Barrels, 5% Sherry Casks and 5% Rum Casks, bringing together a rich and complex range of cask influences in a limited and sought after release.

Another notable addition to our October auction is the Glen Elgin 19 Years Old Cask Strength Centenary Release, bottled to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Speyside distillery. Having begun production on 1 May 1900, Glen Elgin marked the milestone with this special 19-year-old expression, bottled at cask strength to preserve the whisky in its fullest form. With just 750 bottles produced, this is a particularly scarce release and an appealing piece of Glen Elgin history.

Also featuring in our October auction is this 1980’s bottling of Laphroaig 10 Years Old, offering a fascinating glimpse into the history of one of Islay’s most iconic whiskies.

The 10 Year Old expression, in a form recognisable today, dates back to the 1950’s, although earlier iterations of Laphroaig are believed to have existed as far back as the 1930’s, following the repeal of Prohibition in the United States. It is thought that much of the recipe and distinctive style associated with Laphroaig also date back to the period before the Second World War. This 1980’s bottling therefore offers collectors a chance to experience a whisky from a bygone era, when Laphroaig’s unmistakable character was already firmly established.

These featured lots are just a glimpse of what’s on offer in our October Auction. Visit clickwhiskyauctions.com to browse the full auction and discover many more exceptional bottles.
