We’ve been lucky enough to choose this a single cask, and found one that comes from the very first parcel of Virgin Oak casks filled at White Peak Distillery!

Limited to 238 bottles, it comes in at a thumping 57% ABV, and blew away Tony and Richard from our Nottingham store when selecting a cask to feature.

Here’s what they had to say about the process:

“For this first exclusive bottling we’ve had as a company with Wire Works, myself and Tony took an afternoon off to head down to White Peak Distillery in Ambergate, to sample some of the exceptional casks on offer.

Having previously had STR casks, we wanted to opt for something a little different. Several drams later, we were taken by this Virgin Oak cask, 1 of 238 bottles, a stomping abv of 57% and from the first parcel of Virgin Oak casks ever filled at White Peak.

This Virgin Oak expression is bottled at full cask strength, so you’re getting the spirit exactly as it left the barrel. Bottled at 57% abv, expect fruit on the nose, layered with bonfire toffee and sweet vanilla. The palate is rich and full, carrying that same fruit-forward warmth with a lightly peated backbone that adds depth without dominating. The finish lingers satisfyingly.
