The Macallan 1977 18 Year Old (1988 Release) is widely regarded as one of the finest eras for this iconic expression. Released in 2021 by The Craft Irish Whiskey Co., The Taoscán is a highly collectible limited release of 4,000 bottles, with only 1,000 presented as exclusive Collector’s Editions. Described as the world’s first Irish single malt finished in Tawny Port and French Chestnut casks, it was matured initially in Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks before an extended two-year finishing period in Port and Chestnut wood. An innovative and visually striking release, this is a standout and scarce modern Irish whiskey.

Glen Ord 16 Year Old Manager’s Dram (Bottled 1991) is one of the highly regarded staff-only releases that were once reserved exclusively for employees within what is now Diageo’s distillery portfolio. Produced in limited quantities, these annual bottlings saw each distillery manager select exceptional casks to create a unique cask-strength expression representative of their distillery. Distilled at Glen Ord, matured for 16 years and bottled at natural cask strength in 1991, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a bottling never originally intended for the wider public.

The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary – Decade IV (1990s Edition) — Released in 2022 to celebrate 60 years of James Bond, this collectible six-part series from The Macallan pays tribute to each decade of the iconic film franchise. The Decade IV release honours the Pierce Brosnan era of the 1990s, featuring the celebrated films GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies. Matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks, it is widely rumoured to contain whisky with a minimum age of 12 years, although this remains unconfirmed. This limited anniversary release combines cinematic nostalgia with The Macallan’s signature sherried style.
