Due to demand, Old Perth releases limited Pedro Ximénez

Old Perth, the Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers (MSWD) blended malt brand, has unveiled a new limited edition expression, bringing together five exceptional Speyside distillates, each fully matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry butts and hogsheads.

Crafted with a focus on richness and depth, the latest release is a celebration of Old Perth’s signature sherry-led style, showcasing the smoothest malt whiskies from some of Scotland’s finest distilleries.

On the nose, the whisky opens with indulgent notes of sticky dates and overripe grapes, layered with warming hints of ginger and cinnamon. The palate delivers a decadent profile reminiscent of sticky toffee pudding, coated in rich molasses, with a subtle cinnamon spice lingering through the finish.

Bottled at a robust 54.3% ABV, this cask-strength release is rich in flavour and remarkable by nature – a true reflection of Old Perth’s dedication to expertly curated, sherry-matured malts.

This expression is a twist on a Pedro Ximénez fan favourite that sold out instantly in 2023. Speaking about the liquid. Graeme Mackeddie, Production Director at Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, said:

The Old Perth limited edition is available from 14 May via select specialist retailers across the UK and Europe, with an RRP of £60.
