This rare 33-year-old Campbeltown spirit was distilled in 1991. It was initially filled into an American oak ex-bourbon hogshead, where this hearty single malt rested and gradually mellowed during its first two decades. In 2011, it began its next chapter of maturation and flavour development when it was carefully transferred into a French Vosne-Romanée red wine barrique from the world-famous and highly celebrated wine-producing region of Burgundy.

Intense aromas of baked plum and fruity tamarind spice are beautifully paired with cherries, dark chocolate and faint suggestions of a freshly cut cigar. The rich and herbaceous wild berries follow through to juicy raisins and salted caramel in the robust and complex palate. Ripe berries, nutmeg, brown sugar and dried stone fruits finish this spectacular, charismatic dram.
