Founded in Wassaic, New York on the edge of the Hudson Valley, the gorgeous distillery built in within the walls of an old dairy farm is result of countless hard lessons in doing things the right way. Founder John Dyson was a prominent New Yorker before purchasing and revitalizing the famous Sonoma Pinot Noir producer William Selyem, but his love for the Hudson Valley runs deep. After graduating Cornell Agriculture school, it took a lifetime of hard work to bring John back to this place to create a new standard for American single malt as he had done with American wine. Though Tenmile River meanders east toward the Housatonic, but we’re lucky to have their Little Rest Single Malt out west finally. Their flagship offering, distilled by renowned master Shane Fraser on Tenmile’s perfect pair of Forsyths pot stills, is a marriage of ex-bourbon, oloroso sherry and red wine barrels.
