A Scotch Whisky Tasting Dinner With A Difference – Scotch Whisky News

A whisky tasting dinner with a difference – October 5, Musa
by Craig
Well, we’ve had the successful beer and wine tasting nights in Aberdeen, so now it’s time for something else – whisky! Five whiskies to be precise, along with a four-course meal…
The experts from Ian Macleod Distillers will be along with whiskies from the following ranges:
Isle of Skye
Six Isles
Smokehead
Glengoyne
for a night which will be as much educational as taste sensational. The blenders will be talking us through the differences in whiskies from the four regions of Scotland as well as the differences between blends and malts as well as what makes a blend whisky and what makes a grain whisky.
But it won’t just be the whisky that hits your taste buds as the kitchen team have thought out a specially-prepared meal of four courses that complements the drams. We’ll tease more about the meal later in the week.
It looks to be a great night for whisky fans and those wanting to learn more about whisky or try some new expressions.
If you fall into the latter, here’s what others have said about the drams, including a couple of videos from well-kent whisky reviewer Ralfy (visit the link below to see the videos).
Malt Advocate magazine editor & publisher John Hansell on Smokehead: “Youthful, fiery, oozing with testosterone…this is a young, in your face Islay single malt.”
To book tickets, costing £40, drop in to Musa or call us on 01224 571 771.
