Independent organic distillery Nc’nean has been creating experimental spirits and pioneering sustainable production since 2013. To minimise its impact in terms of carbon footprint, pollution and biodiversity, the distillery is powered by renewable energy, using 100% organically-farmed barley and recycling 99.97% of its waste. Even the bottles are 100% recycled glass.

Barley is the heart of any whisky and one of its most important ingredients. Nc’nean uses 100% organically-farmed barley from 10 farms across Scotland. These farms do not use any artificial pesticides or fertilisers, resulting in better biodiversity and better soil and water quality.
