The Whisky Exchange ‘The Glenlivet 200th Anniversary Edition’ 🥃 – Scotch Whisky News

THE GLENLIVET
200 YEARS AND COUNTING

When the Excise Act of 1823 passed in parliament, George Smith was among the first Scots to gain a license to distil legally. From the very beginning the whisky he made in the Livet Valley won acclaim for its fruity character and refined elegance.

Two centuries on, The Glenlivet has grown to become one of the largest distilleries in Scotland, while retaining the reputation for quality that George Smith built all those years ago. This 12-year-old single malt comprises first-fill American oak casks, hand-picked to celebrate the 200th anniversary of The Glenlivet.
