The Whiskymaker’s Editions is a series of one-off releases, showcasing the sense of adventure of The Lakes in-house whiskymaker. The latest release, Iris, was inspired by a town in the Western Himalayas, Gulmarg (meaning meadow of flowers). Specifically created to bring out intense tropical and fruity notes, Iris has been described as a prismatic play of colours, aromas and flavours.
NOSE: Crisp red apples, fragrant honeysuckle, ripe pears and hints of rose.
TASTE: Ripe orchard fruits, almond flakes and citrus peel.
FINISH: A floral freshness lingers.
