So, what is Single Pot Still Whiskey? Pot Still Whiskey is characterised by the use of unmalted barley, and other grains, in the mash bill; all of which are then distilled via a Pot Still. The result of this ‘mixed-mashbill’ and pot still distillation is a much more creamy and spicy spirit than you might find from your typical single malt.
