Blended Scotch 40 Year Old 1984 Thompson Bros 40.4% 70cl

An extraordinarily long-aged blended malt from indie bottler Thompson Bros. This vatting was distilled way back in March 1984, and was matured for four decades in a refill butt. Whisky sleuths have suggested that this has a portion of Islay spirit in it – all we know is that it’s downright delicious, packed with all manner of coastal smoke, cream soda, eucalyptus and olive brine notes. It’s been bottled without chill-filtration or added colour.
