Transformed and Reborn

The Snake – ageless symbol of regeneration and evolution, its gold tongue an omen of good luck. Tamdhu – a distillery reborn since first opening on the banks of the River Spey in 1897. Closed in 2010, in 2012 it woke from its long sleep to once more taste the spring air.

Then, as now, our dedication to perfection will not be rushed – only the best will do. Like the snake, this is how we achieve our perfect form.

With a batch strength of 58.9% vol, the whisky is unchill-filtered and boasts a deep, natural colour, matured exclusively in the rarest Oloroso sherry oak seasoned casks from Jerez, Spain. Together with tradition, trust and time, they play their part in our whisky’s famously deep natural colour and rich sherried aroma, revealing layers of flavour which seem to transform with each mouthful.
