Glendronach 25 Year Old Grandeur Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Batch #008 matured in Oloroso sherry butts. Limited release of 1,505 numbered bottles. A torrent of rich sherry aromas flow over sour plums and dried prunes. A delightful contribution of ginger bread and cracked black pepper add a gentle warmth. Dark chocolate with a touch of marzipan rounds the nose and adds contrasting hints of sweetness through the robust vintage character. An opulent, vintage sherry style combining a medley of dark espresso, Mediterranean fruits, rich molasses and a hint of herbal bitters. An earthy, aged oak character of air cured tobacco leaves a leathery dryness, adding great depth and texture to the palate, contributing to the unique, full-bodied Highland style. After a quarter of a century peacefully lying in our traditional dunnage warehouses, the combination of casks selected by Master Blender Billy Walker have come to encapsulate the rich history and heritage of GlenDronach as the sherry casks connoisseurs.

Glendronach Malt Whisky Distillery was established north east of Huntley in the Highland whisky region by James Allardice in 1826. The malting floors at Glendronach Distillery closed in 1996 and it was the last distillery in Scotland to heat its stills directly with flames from a coal-fired furnace, until it had to comply with new regulations in 2005. Glendronach Distillery is resplendent with a traditional cask iron mash tun, wooden washbacks, four stills. Famous for its well-aged and top quality sherried single malt, for example Glendronach 21 Year Old Parliament, and single cask releases. The distillery is now owned by Brown Forman of America.

Bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange, this Seattle single malt was made at the innovative Westland distillery. Showcasing its signature five-malt mashbill, it was finished in an ex-Marsala cask for almost three years, resulting in layers of sweet dried fruit, toasted nuts and citrus oil on the palate. It showcases Westland distillery’s signature five malt mashbill aged for five years in new American oak and finished for just shy of three years in a fresh Marsala cask. The influence of this sweet Sicilian wine shows itself with notes of sticky dried fruit and toasted nuts, Italian pastries and citrus oils. Since its founding in 2010, Westland has become a champion of provenance in grain and oak and a leader in the emerging American single malt movement.

Talisker 27 Year Old 1993 vintage Island single malt Scotch whisky. Single first fill sherry butt distilled December 1993, bottled January 2021 by Hart Brothers.

Brothers Hugh and Keneth MacAskill Talisker Distillery was established at Carbost on the Isle of Skye off the west coast of Scotland in 1830 with construction commencing the following year. Soaking up its own reflection from Loch Harport one day yet fending off North Atlantic gales the next. Talisker is an Islands malt whisky distillery equipped with five stills and has retained its traditional five round wooden worm tubs. There is an excellent range of official bottlings, including Talisker 10 Year Old and Distillers Edition supplemented by independent bottlings in the Secret Stills and Old Malt Cask ranges.

This is a release of a young Israeli malt that matured on a rye cask, released by Belgian bottler Liquid Art – at cask strength, of course. The answer is ‘yes’! BALLANTINE’S CONTINUES ITS JOURNEY INTO THE WORLD OF ESPORTS WITH FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND PARTNERSHIP WITH DOTA 2

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Dota 2, Ballantine’s has announced a first-of-its-kind partnership that sees the iconic Scotch whisky come on board as the first spirits partner in Dota 2 history. Having launched fully in 2013, Dota 2 is one of the world’s most popular multiple online battle arena games welcoming millions of players worldwide each day. The partnership is the latest move by Ballantine’s in the gaming and esports space, following its debut partnership with Borderlands: The Game, and with BLAST.tv for the 10 year anniversary of the CS:GO Majors in Paris. Most recently, Ballantine’s teamed up with Tundra Esports as the Official Spirits Partner for the team’s title defence at The Dota 2 International 2023.

To kick off the partnership, Ballantine’s and Dota 2 will drop an exclusive short movie on 17^th October. The film features appearances from some of the game’s iconic characters as they head on an epic quest to collect several lost runes needed to get their hands on a dram of Ballantine’s. Exclusive to China, Ballantine’s will also be dropping two limited-edition Ballantine’s Finest x Dota 2 bottles featuring iconic characters from the game’s universe including Juggernaut, Lina, Monkey King, Marci, and Brewmaster.
