The Hearach is a special whisky indeed. Not only is it the first release from the Isle of Harris Distillery (and indeed Harris itself!), it’s doing some serious good, too.

With a mission to bring sustainable employment to the rural island community, the distillery team are crafting flavour with feeling. From distilling and blending to marketing and hospitality, each release gives people a reason to stay on the island. Jobs preserve the community and culture for future generations. The Hearach is literally a whisky with a mission.

The dram is remarkable, too. Lightly peated and matured in first-fill ex-bourbon, oloroso and Fino sherry, it stays true to its youth while offering surprising complexity. Gentle peat and vibrant fruits align beautifully – it’s a brilliant example of an island Scotch whisky.

The Hearach has sold out on release, so we expect these bottles to fly off the shelves.
