anCnoc Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky at Hard To Find Whisky – Scotch Whisky News

Situated in the picturesque village of Knock in Aberdeenshire, Knockdhu Distillery was founded by John Morrision back in 1894. The distillery is named after the nearby Black Hill, known as Knockdhu in Gaelic, the source of many springs that feed the distillery. The whiskies from Knockdhu were re-named anCnoc in 1993 to avoid confusion with nearby Knockando distillery. This dynamic, exciting distillery produces sweet, fruity whiskies with characteristic flavours of honey and citrus. The majority of the whiskies are unpeated, and matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. They also produce limited quantities of peated single malt whisky.
