SPOTLIGHT ON…
ARDNAMURCHAN DISTILLERY

One of Scotland’s most remote distilleries, Ardnamurchan opened in 2014 and is situated on the wild and rugged Ardnamurchan peninsula on the Scottish west coast. The distillery prides itself in driving renewable distilling and practising sustainable methods throughout the whisky-making process, from heating its stills to 100% recycled whisky cartons. Producing two signature styles of spirit – peated and unpeated – the entire process has been designed to create an overall flavour profile true to its West Highland coastal location: gentle peat smoke, rich honey, sea salt and dark fruit.

For the first time, Ardnamurchan’s blending team have vatted malts exclusively matured in sherry casks to create its new Sherry Cask Release. A marriage of peated and unpeated malt matured in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, the result is a chewy dram with abundant dried fruit, nuttiness, sweet sherry and soft smoke. Scan the QR code on your Ardnamurchan bottle to trace the story of the whisky, from the field the barley was farmed in to the date of production.
