Arran Distillery started distillation in 1995 reviving the rich and turbulent history of whisky production on the Island. The local water, microclimate and air quality all influence the spirit as it’s distilled and matured making Arran an amazing place to produce whisky.

12 YEARS OLD SHERRY HOGSHEAD

SHOP EXCLUSIVE

This single cask bottling, distilled in 2009 at Arran distillery, is our newest shop exclusive. This excellent dram full of rich, warming flavours was aged for 12 years in a single sherry hogshead. It was bottled straight from the cask without chill-filtration or artificial colouring at natural cask strength.

Only 290 bottles were produced.

TASTING NOTES

NOSE: Initial aromas of chocolate-covered raisins lead into toffee pennies and roasted hazelnuts followed by caramelised orange.

PALATE: Rich and buttery with oak spices giving way to rich fruit cake laden with cherries and citrus peel.
