Introducing the first Irish Whiskey to be distilled in County Mayo in over 150 years.
Connacht Batch 1 is a small batch, double distilled Single Malt, made from 100% malted Irish barley. It has been patiently matured for four years in ex-bourbon casks, before a final finishing in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Spain.
Aromas
Plenty of raisins and dried fruits followed by a honeyed sweetness, with notes of fudge, butterscotch, an almond nuttiness and hints of star anise.
On The Palate
Vanilla and spices compliment notes of dried fruits and malt.
The Finish
Warming and full bodied with lingering walnuts and honey.
