An Islay Single Malt that is matured in ex-bourbon barrels, bottled at natural distillery strength. This gives a depth of genuine taste and texture normally associated with sampling a Whisky at its source.
Aromas of sweet cereal and biscuit notes are highlighted by smoked cedar, pipe tobacco, old leather and a little vanilla. On the palate this expression is sweet and spicy with notes of burnt oak staves, toffee, sea salt and barbecued marshmallows. The finish is floral with spicy oak tannins, some iodine and sea salt.
