This 2007-vintage, thirteen-year-old whisky – distilled just two years after Kilchoman fired up its stills – has been matured in a single ex-bourbon barrel, before being bottled in February 2021, exclusively for The Whisky Exchange. This ex-bourbon maturation has left the whisky rich with orchard fruits and sweet-citrus notes, alongside earthy dark-chocolate, sun-baked hay, fresh green chilli and lashings of Kilchoman’s meaty, peat-smoke flavour.

Founded in 2005, Kilchoman was the first new distillery to be built on Islay in more than 120 years. The island’s only single-farm distillery, Kilchoman prides itself on managing its whisky from barley to bottle.
