Jeffersonville, Vermont – Smugglers’ Notch Maple Works™, the sister company to Smugglers’ Notch Distillery, is excited to introduce their Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup. They single-source their 100% pure, organic, Vermont maple syrup and age it for approximately 4 months in their own Smugglers’ Notch Distillery’s award-winning bourbon whiskey barrels. During this time the syrup gives up some of its sweetness to the barrel and takes on a delicious bourbon flavor. The result is non-alcoholic, slightly less sweet, slightly thicker syrup with a lovely oak and bourbon flavor.

Smugglers’ Notch Maple Works™ Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple Syrup is Grade A, dark robust syrup with a rich color and caramel flavor notes. Of course, it’s perfect for pancakes and waffles, but this syrup also rises to the occasion when used in a BBQ sauce, a glaze for fish or chicken, added to a cocktail or your morning coffee, or even drizzled over ice cream.

Recent studies show maple syrup has quite a bit of nutritional value.
