New Chita Single Grain Whisky from Suntory Japanese Whisky Launches in UK – Japanese Whiskey News
New Chita Single Grain Whisky from Suntory Japanese Whisky Launches in UK
(London, July 2017) Just in time for the British summer, leading Japanese distiller, Suntory Japanese Whisky will be launching a brand-new single grain whisky, Chita. Reflective of the misty, calm seas of the Chita Peninsula, the whisky hits UK shores this July.
Suntory’s Chita is a whisky with enough complexity for the whisky connoisseur and a mild enough character for those just starting to explore the world of Japanese whisky. Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo chose to age this unique grain whisky in wine, Spanish Oak and American White Oak. The result of doing so creates a more delicate, smoother grain whisky with unparalleled sophistication and a clean, clear finish, making it the perfect choice for a lighter summer serve.
Shinji Fukuyo said “There is a quiet confidence and tenderness in our grain whiskies. These qualities allow them to be their own heroes, whether in a blend of featured as a single grain whisky”.
From July, you can also enjoy Chita at London’s award winning Japanese restaurant, ROKA Canary Wharf, where a bespoke Japanese Terrace Garden pop-up will feature an array of refreshing, Japanese inspired Chita cocktails.
Standing proudly amongst The House of Suntory’s prestigious portfolio, the exceptional Chita Single Grain Whisky is available to purchase in the UK from July 1st.
