Mackillop’s Choice
It is named after Lorne Mackillop. Lorne Mackillop is the heir to the chief of the Mackillop Clan, which was all but wiped out by the English in the aftermath of the battle of Culloden in 1745 during the Jabobite Rebellion.”
Lorne Mackillop is a man of great of great respect in the whisky world. This, is some of his best work… The Mortlach 1991 A fantastic whisky with that big bold Mortlach taste. Meaty and sherried with hint of black pepper and clove. Long, dry, chocolatey finish. The Col Ila 1980 Subtle smokiness, light & fresh with a long sweet coastal finish. Only 235 bottles in existence.
