Less than 100 casks maturing at The Macallan distillery hold this unusual smoky spirit. Not known for its smoky whiskies, this is a story of creativity and innovation. The result of experiments in whisky making, this small pool of casks has created a whisky out of character for The Macallan.
These precious few casks remained untouched in the dark warehouses of The Macallan under the watchful eye of the Master Whisky Maker. Only once he felt they were ready to be released could he start to imagine Rare Cask Black. But true to its name, this is about rarity. Smoky Macallan is rare, there is very little in existence.
