Hi all! We hope you are managing to find some shade in which to dram in this record heat (well, record for this year!)

There is plenty going on here at TWL HQ at the moment. Joe has taken a cracking team down to the crazy and funky The Secret Garden Party in Cambridgeshire to help bring more whisky to even more people. If you happen to be there, please pop in to say hi! He is hoping the weather is not too hot for all of the potential whisky-converts at the festival.

Amanda and Eddie had a baby boy in May (their second child) and are skilfully (ahem) juggling nappy-changing duties with their never-ending Whisky mission. Yes, another whisky-baby!

In this summer update, we have some fantastic new tastings for you on the website, including a superb Rum vs Whisky series and the return of Blind Islay Fury. Further tickets for our autumn festivals are available (York and Birmingham still have early-birds left!) as well as Whisky Schools and our October Backstage Islay trip.

We are pretty sure that there is something for everyone here so do please read on…

A quick note to members: We must apologies to our faithful members for the lack of activity of late. We are planning on sending out the first 6 cask samples in the next few weeks and we think that you will be extremely happy with the whiskies and the mechanic we have come up with. We are also looking at running our first members events in the autumn, possibly at the one or two of the remaining festivals. We appreciate your patience and this will be more than rewarded!

The Edgbaston is a treasure trove of whiskies with an incredible selection plus a tremendous reputation for cocktails. Darren, the owner, and Eddie have been friends a long time and have been trying to get these up and running for a while now. We are finally there!
