Macallan 25 year old Platinum Old and Rare
This Macallan 25 year old has been distilled in April 1989 and bottled in July 2014. It is one of only 188 bottles. Bottled at a natural cask strength of 44.8% volume. Each bottle has been drawn from a Refill Hogshead cask – a superb expression.
Haig Club with Free Hip Flask
Haig Club is made at Cameronbridge distillery in Scotland. It is a whole new approach to Scotch whisky. First, it is a single grain. Second, it is presented in a square blue flask, with the name embossed in the glass and a copper stopper, which looks more like a bottle of aftershave than a whisky. Third, Diageo have partnered with David Beckham and Simon Fuller, creator of American Idol, manager of Beckham, and a legendary entrepreneur and philanthropist, to promote it.
Glendullan 13 Year Old Douglas of Drumlanrig
This speyside single cask was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2014 and is host to delicate peppery notes, with dark chocolate and hazelnut. A Long and Dry finish, this expression has a nutty aftertaste. One of only 411 bottles and bottled at 46% volume
BenRinnes 8 Year Old Douglas of Drumlanrig
Distilled in September 2007 in the Speyside distillery of Benrinnes and bottled in September 2015, this handselected expression host flavours such as vanilla fudge, fruit truffle and butterscotch. With a long, sweet and dry finish. Limited to only 453 bottles and bottles at 46% volume
Balmenach 11 Year Old Douglas of Drumlanrig
Inspired by the rolling hills and green forests in the estate of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensferry, Douglas of Drumlanrig is a collection of single cask bottlings from independent bottlers, Hunter Laing. From the Speyside distillery of Balmenach this expression was distilled in 2003 and bottled September 2015. One of only 357 bottles bottled at 46% volume.
Aberfeldy 12 year old
The Perthshire distillery of Aberfeldy produces elegant yet robust single malts which deserve to be much more widely celebrated, though the bulk of Aberfeldy’s output goes into the best-selling Dewar’s White Label blend. This 12-year-old expression has an attractive honeyed nose and is very nicely balanced. Smooth and scented to taste; sweet to start, with a hint of white pepper, drying in the warming finish.
