Macallan 1948 Select Reserve

Firstly we have many legendary Macallans to showcase this month, including a magnificent bottle of Macallan distilled in 1948 and matured for over half a century until bottling on 26th November 1999.  Macallan decided to fill each bottle on a different day of the year; of the 366 bottles released, not one bottle carries the same bottling date as any other. Other notable legendary Macallans include the 1957 25 Year Old and numerous 30 year old and 25 year olds! 

It’s never all about Macallan, and to match their age there are a number of  very well aged Islay malts for your interest.  Ardbeg 30 Year Old, Lagavulin 25 Year Old and Laphroaig 30 Year Old.    

It’s all about age this month and we are also lucky to be auctioning a number of incredible old whiskies from Mortlach; a 1936 45 Year Old and Glenlivet; 1940 46 Year Old  

Lastly, we have some more recent bottlings including the Octomore 1965 Discovery limited to only 1,965 bottles, Ardbeg Kildalton 2014 and a rare 1987 Single Cask Glenfiddich 125^th Anniversary.
