We are looking for a pro-active and focused General Manager to join our vibrant team here at WHISKI Bar & Restaurant. As a multi award winning venue, there will certainly never be a dull moment taking the reins here with us.

Whiski is a multi award winning whisky bar and restaurant mid way down Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and this is a high profile position within a growing company. We specialise in great Scottish food using local suppliers, have a worldwide reputation as one of the best Whisky bars in the world and specialise in live Scottish music – as you would imagine life is never dull here and WHISKY is a huge focus and passion and enthusiasm for it would be a great advantage!

We are dedicated to offering the highest levels of service to our customers and ensuring the venue runs smoothly to company standards. You will report to the directors of the business and have full accountability for all aspects of the business and all staff. You, the staff and all the customers having a great time is essential !

You
Experienced hands on General Manager who leads by example
Friendly outgoing personality a must with the ability to inspire staff
Financially driven with strong business acumen
Excellent written and spoken English
Computer literate and Social Media savvy
Restaurant and Bar experience with a knowledge and passion of whisky a bonus
A current Personal Licence Holder for the sale of alcohol

Duties
This is a “hands on” role and you will be responsible for :

Management and Training of all staff
Meeting and exceeding targets and working to budgets
Controlling the venue and all communications
Focusing on offering the highest levels of service to our customers
Driving the business forward
Managing events

There is a great package on offer for the right candidate £28,000 – £35,000 pa.
