A newsletter will be making its way to you in the next week or so with lots of news on the distillery and upcoming bottles (and I promise I’ll try to make it shorter than my first one!!) In the meantime, I just wanted to send a quick newsflash to keep you up to date with a couple of things happening in the next few days.

CGS4GAMBIA 

Just a reminder that the auction we are running for Campbeltown Grammar School will end this coming Monday (26th August 2013) at 5pm BST. The auction features a bottle of the oldest Springbank that we currently have in the warehouse (24 years, 3 months and 9 days old!) and is being auctioned off for Campbeltown Grammar Schools volunteering trip to Gambia next year. The highest bid is currently standing at an incredible £2,150. If you would like to bid even higher than this, please do so before 5pm on Monday. To bid, e-mail auction@springbankwhisky.com with your bid, along with your name, address and contact telephone number.

EXPLORE CAMPBELTOWN 

The eagerly awaited launch of the Explore Campbeltown website is finally happening! The launch will take place next Wednesday (28th August 2013) at 8pm in the Seafield Hotel, Campbeltown.

Since February, Springbank Distillers, the Ardshiel Hotel and Machrihanish Holiday Park have been working together with local businesses to create a one stop website for Campbeltown and the surrounding area. The website will feature all local businesses with the aim of promoting the goods and services that we have to offer here in the hope that it will encourage more people to come and visit this beautiful part of the world.

Please check out the site after Wednesday evening and let us know your thoughts! We are almost at 1,000 likes and it would be great if we could reach that landmark for Wednesday!!

Anyway that is all for just now. It is the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival this weekend in Campbeltown – it’s always a great weekend for the town with a real buzz about the place so we are all looking forward to a weekend full of music and fun!
