Something very special will be happening in the Guardian Spiegeltent at the Edinburgh Book Festival every night at 9pm between the 10th-26th August. For Jura Unbound, hand-picked writers and performers from across the globe will fuse words and music into new forms of storytelling before a live audience.

Just like Jura, every Unbound performer has broken with convention, forged their own path and is richer for it. From Ljodahått – some of the finest poets Norway has ever produced – to Scottish author Alan Bisset, every storyteller brings with them a blazing trail of tales that could keep any bar open until late. Jura Unbound is free to attend for all Diurachs, and you’re even entitled to a dram of 10 year old whisky so you can settle in and watch such delights as the Literary Death Match cartoon spectacular in true Jura style.
