NEW – Glenglassaugh Evolution – £49.99
Evolution is an exclusive and very limited one-off series from single variety oak cask styles. Bottled on site at natural strength, natural colour and without the use of chill-filtration. This expression was matured in first fill ex-George Dickel Tennessee Whisky barrels and shows great depth of character and finesse, a harmonious combination of whisky and oak.
Tasting Note
Colour: Golden barley.
Nose: Sweet, buttery-vanilla, butterscotch and fudge entwined with fruits; golden delicious apples, caramelised pears and earthy coconut.
Palate: Creamy and sweet, more butterscotch and vanilla fudge. Some banana, pear and green apple emerge before the coconut and anise.
Finish: Rounded and sweet with gentle coconut and liquorice
Glenglassaugh Revival – £36.99
The first single malt scotch whisky distilled from the re-furbished Glenglassaugh distillery which is available through normal distribution channels. Non-chill filtered, no colour added and bottled on site at Glenglassaugh distillery.
Tasting Note
Colour: Copper.
Nose: Sweet caramel and toffee with notes of nutty sherry, milk chocolate and honey. Ripe plums, red berries and oranges. Caramelised sugar and earthy, charred oak.
Palate: Sweet, rounded and creamy. Oranges, plums, cherry and walnuts, chocolate, honey-mead, sherry and soft, spiced oak.
Finish: Medium with warming mulled-wine spices, sherry and caramel.
